Emma, Tara and Em with shelter cats Tia-Maria, Rickey and guinea pig Tony, are from Rolling Hills Public School. The grade 8 girls did a project called "Making A Difference"! Sophie decided to have her very first birthday party when she turned five. Instead of presents, she asked for donations to the Humane Society. Her great friends from Dr. George Hall School and daycare donated gifts of food, toys and $100.00.

Grade 7 and 8's of Dr. George Hall P.S. held a sleep over at the school in order to raise funds for the shelter. With
the total of $424, food, treats, collars, leashes, etc. were purchased and donated.

Trista and Rachel raised $136 for the shelter from their lemonade stand and baked goods sale.
They made posters for the neighborhood and baked their own goodies to sell.

Emma Manners, collects rocks and wanted to do a project on them to raise funds for the shelter. She sold the Memory Rocks along with the card and phrase at her school and father's office and raised $100.00!!

Claire Bailey made $30 selling puff balls out of yarn for .25 cents each. Plus, asked for cat litter, cat and dog food, toys, etc. for her birthday so she could donate all of it to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes. Thank you Claire!

For Olivia's eighth birthday party, she asked to be given dog and cat items in lieu of gifts so that she could donate
them to the shelter. She was able to give dog treats, toys and food along with $91.00! Thank you for sharing your

Natalie saved her allowance, held a garage sale and did fundraising so that she could support the shelter by purchasing
a brick from our Buy a Brick campaign for the new building. She and her Miniature Schnauzer, KitKat, are anxious to see
their names in our sidewalk this summer.

Jenna donated many supplies for the shelter, as well as $15. All in lieu of gifts for her 12th birthday.

Aden collected money for his birthday and ended up with a whopping $552! He decided to purchase a brick from our Buy a Brick campaign. This money will all go to the building fund.
